Do you offer mommy and me swim classes?

Yes. EVO offers parent tot swim lessons for babies 3 to 15 months, where a parent or caregiver joins each session in the water. Mommy and me swim lessons, also called parent infant swim lessons, cover water acclimation, basic skills, and parent-child bonding.

What age can babies start swim lessons?

Babies can start swim lessons for infants as early as 3 months old. Infant swimming lessons at this age focus on water comfort and breath control, not strokes, making early baby swim lessons safe and developmentally appropriate.

What can I do to help my child feel more comfortable getting their eyes/nose/ears wet?

During bathtime use a cup to pour water on their face, saying one, two, three eyes wet.

What factors are used to determine their level and progression?

Progress depends on factors such as age, independence, speed, and confidence.

What should I bring to my lesson?

For each lesson, please bring:

A swimsuit appropriate for active water use
A towel
Goggles (if you have a preferred pair)
A water bottle to stay hydrated Additional gear or specific instructions will be provided if needed for certain classes.

Starfish Class (Parent-Tot)

The Starfish class is EVO Swim School's introduction to the water for babies ages 3 to 15 months.
One of our most popular parent-tot swim lessons, the Starfish level pairs each baby with a parent or caregiver in the pool,
making it a true mommy and me swim experience (dads and grandparents are just as welcome).

What Your Baby Will Work On

Water comfort and relaxation. Gentle activities that help your little one feel safe and at ease in the water.
Breath control basics. Age-appropriate exercises that introduce holding their breath while briefly submerged.
Group participation. Fun, structured songs and movements that build social comfort around other babies.
Parent-child bonding. Guided water play that strengthens the connection between you and your baby during every class.

Each session is 30 minutes, held in EVO's warm indoor pool. No prior water experience is needed.

Babies can begin the Starfish class as early as 3 months old. At this stage, infant swimming lessons focus on water comfort and breath control rather than strokes, making early enrollment safe and age-appropriate.

Yes. EVO's Starfish class is a parent-tot swim class where a parent or caregiver joins the baby in the water for every session. The class covers water acclimation, basic skills, and parent-child bonding.

Both year-round locations in Gilbert and Mesa feature indoor, climate-controlled pools. Water temperature stays warm and consistent regardless of the season.

Bring a swim diaper, a towel, and a change of clothes for you and your baby. No goggles or special gear are needed for the Starfish level.

The Starfish class has a 12:1 student-to-coach ratio. Because a parent or caregiver is in the water with each baby, your little one has both professional guidance and your support at all times.

Once your child is ready, the next step is the Pufferfish class, another parent-tot level with an 8:1 ratio for ages 16 to 24 months. From there, swimmers move into EVO's entry-level classes like Otter and Seal.
