Kids swim lessons in Gilbert and Mesa, AZ that introduce real stroke work.
The Sea Lion class is where swimming changes shape. Once children can move efficiently, roll to breathe, and hold their own in the water, the next step is form. Sea Lion bridges survival skills and real stroke swimming, starting with freestyle basics, breath timing, and underwater confidence.
Sea Lion is the milestone parents notice. Splashing turns into actual strokes. Families across Gilbert, Mesa, Chandler, and the East Valley enroll their kids in Sea Lion to make that transition with structured, age-appropriate coaching.
Practice makes perfect! Every child is different so there is no right or wrong answer.
EVO's coaches are trained and certified to work with children at every level. Sea Lion is where that experience matters most, because building stroke habits the right way the first time pays off for years.
Form swimming needs feedback. With four students per coach, your child gets real correction every lesson, not just pool time.
Lessons run year-round in warm water, regardless of what's happening outside in Arizona.

The Sea Lion class is built for children ages 4 to 12 who are ready for the first set of swim stroke lessons. Most kids enter Sea Lion after completing the Seal class, where they built efficient swimming and survival skills. Sea Lion is the perfect introduction to form swimming.
Freestyle basics. An introduction to "big arms" freestyle for smoother, more powerful strokes.
Breathing techniques. Coaching on how to control and time breath while swimming.
Underwater skills. Building confidence and comfort beneath the surface.
Sessions run 30 minutes in EVO's warm indoor pool, one class per week.

Babies can begin the Starfish class as early as 3 months old. At this stage, infant swimming lessons focus on water comfort and breath control rather than strokes, making early enrollment safe and age-appropriate.
Yes. EVO's Starfish class is a parent-tot swim class where a parent or caregiver joins the baby in the water for every session. The class covers water acclimation, basic skills, and parent-child bonding.
Both year-round locations in Gilbert and Mesa feature indoor, climate-controlled pools. Water temperature stays warm and consistent regardless of the season.
Bring a swim diaper, a towel, and a change of clothes for you and your baby. No goggles or special gear are needed for the Starfish level.
The Starfish class has a 12:1 student-to-coach ratio. Because a parent or caregiver is in the water with each baby, your little one has both professional guidance and your support at all times.
Once your child is ready, the next step is the Pufferfish class, another parent-tot level with an 8:1 ratio for ages 16 to 24 months. From there, swimmers move into EVO's entry-level classes like Otter and Seal.
