We offer swim lessons for infants as young as 3 months, toddlers, children, and teens! Our programs are tailored to meet the needs of different age groups and skill levels.

How long will it take my child to learn to swim?

Typically within a few lessons we see big improvements, but every child learns at a different pace. Our instructors help build a successful path for your child to get their first independent strokes per their skills and comfort in the water.

What age can babies start swim lessons?

Babies can start swim lessons as early as 3 months old. Infant swimming lessons focus on water comfort and breath control, making early baby swim lessons safe and developmentally appropriate.

Do you offer mommy and me swim classes?

Yes. EVO offers parent tot swim lessons for babies 3 to 15 months, where a parent or caregiver joins each session in the water. Mommy and me swim lessons cover water acclimation, basic skills, and parent-child bonding.

Class Levels at SanTan Gilbert

Parent-Tot Classes

(3 Months to 2 Years)

Starfish is where the journey begins. A parent, grandparent, or trusted caregiver joins their child in the water for 30-minute sessions with a focus on water acclimation and early comfort. Starfish lessons are free for babies 6 months and younger, $30/month for ages 7 to 9 months, and $59/month for 10 months and older. Pufferfish builds on Starfish skills for toddlers ages 16 to 24 months. With an 8:1 student-to-instructor ratio and a parent still in the water, your child begins working on breath control, kicking, and independence. Pufferfish tuition is $114/month for one weekly lesson.

Entry-Level Classes

(Ages 2 and Up)

Otter is where children begin swimming without a parent in the water. With a 3:1 student-to-instructor ratio and 30-minute sessions, this level helps young children get comfortable, relaxed, and safe in the water. Otter tuition is $131/month for one class per week or $236/month for two. Seal continues building water survival skills with a 4:1 ratio. Children at this level develop basic independence, floating, and early stroke movements. Seal tuition is $114/month for one class per week or $204/month for two.

Intermediate Classes

(Ages 4 to 12)

Sea Lion, Porpoise, and Dolphin classes introduce and refine form swimming. Children in these levels work on becoming more efficient, safe, and happy swimmers as they progress through the four competitive strokes. All intermediate classes are 30 minutes with a 4:1 ratio. Tuition is $114/month for one weekly lesson or $204/month for two.

Advanced Classes

(Ages 6 to 12)

Advanced Stroke Class is a 60-minute session with up to a 12:1 ratio. Swimmers at this level work the length of the pool, perfecting all four competitive strokes, learning wall turns and streamlines, and building the endurance needed for swim team readiness. Tuition is $114/month for one weekly lesson. A $30 annual insurance fee applies per child ($45 per family). No registration fees. A standard annual insurance fee applies

OUR SANTAN GILBERT FACILITY

Our SanTan Gilbert location features both an indoor teaching pool and an outdoor 8-lane, 25-yard pool covered by shade sails for competitive training and Rio Swim Team practices.

The indoor pool is where all swim lessons in Gilbert take place, and it is designed with rim flow gutters, which keep the water surface calm and give parents an unobstructed view of every lesson. The pool area is fully climate-controlled, so Arizona's 110-degree summers, monsoon storms, and cooler winter mornings never disrupt your child's schedule.

A dedicated parent viewing room with free Wi-Fi and a sibling play area means you can watch your child's progress while their brother or sister stays entertained.
