It’s completely normal for little ones to feel unsure in a new environment. Our instructors are experienced in gently easing children into the water through playful activities and gradual progression. We encourage you to take it at your child’s pace and communicate any concerns to your instructor.
Typically within a few lessons we see big improvements, but every child learns at a different pace. Our instructors will help build successful path for your child to get their first independent strokes per their skills and comfortably in the water.

During bathtime use a cup to pour water on their face, saying one, two, three eyes wet.
Trust in the process, all our instructors are well trained on how to handle all situations. Do not worry or feel bad because your child is crying too, we are trained to work through all tears and fears!
We have staff on hand to sit with children. Their safety is our priority.
No, while nice to have, they do present a safety issue if they rely and depend on goggles to swim. For our introductory levels (Otter and Seal) we recommend not to have or bring goggles.
    Swim instructors recommendation:
Practice makes perfect! Every child is different so there is no right or wrong answer.
Practice big arms outside of the water to help stretch their shoulders and help with a full extension.
