EVO Swim School is pleased to announce that Aidan Ryan, age 4, has graduated from the Sea Lion class level. He can now display the ability to swim a basic freestyle stroke (otherwise known as “big arms”) while taking a breath on his back. He is prepared for the Porpoise class where he will learn the freestyle side breathing technique and backstroke. EVO Swim School is pleased to announce that Isabel Vazquez, age 8, has graduated from the Dolphin class level. Isabel can now display the basics of all four competitive swimming strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly). Isabel has completed the EVO Swim School curriculum for group lessons and is ready for our Advanced Stroke class. Advanced Stroke classes swim the length of our pool and receive an introduction to the swim team environment. Here she will learn how to turn on the wall, read a pace clock, and perform new drills with fins on her feet. EVO Swim School is pleased to announce that Linda Hu, age 8, has graduated from the Porpoise class level. She has learned to swim a proper freestyle stroke with the side breathing technique and backstroke. She is now ready for the Dolphin class where she will learn breaststroke and butterfly. EVO Swim School is pleased to announce that Tanner Hatch, age 6 has graduated from the Seal class level. He is now considered a proficient back yard swimmer with the ability to swim three widths of our pool (30 yards total) with a strong kick and great breath control. Tanner can also jump from the side, get a breath on his back, and return to the side of the pool as a safety habit. He will be moving to the Sea Lion class to receive an introduction to the freestyle stroke with an emphasis placed on “big arms”. She can now swim independently from the wall to the instructor and roll on her back for a security breath. She will be moving to the Seal class to perfect her kicking skills and improved breath control in order to be a great backyard swimmer. EVO Swim School is pleased to announce that Marcus Perea, age 2, has graduated from the Pufferfish (parent/tot) class level. Marcus was given an introduction to the water which included back floats, kicking, and under water passes (not to mention great bonding time with mom and dad). Marcus is ready to advance to the Otter class which is a group lesson of only four children. In this class he will learn how to swim independently in the water.
